Anti Trump Pundit Uses N Word During Exchange with Black Trump Surrogate
CNN host. Brooke Baldwin, lost it when liberal author and pundit, Charles Kaiser, used the N-word in a back and forth exchange with a Trump supporter about Stephen Bannon.
Charles, talking about his opposition to Stephen Bannon said, 'If you don't want to support the alt-right, don't choose as a White House counselor a man who uses the word nigger.'
After the exchange, you can see that, Brooke the host, gets visibly disturbed by the comment. The Trump supporter appeared to be taken aback by the statement as well.
At one point during the exchange, after the slur was used, Brooke abruptly ended the segment saying, “The more I’ve sat here and listened to the fact that somebody used the N-word on this show — it is not OK. It is not OK, Charles Kaiser,”
The host looked almost moved to tears at this point. From my vantage point, the exchange almost seemed comical. It almost appeared as though Kaiser was going for shock value rather than dish the latest anti-Trump talking points.
After the segment was finished, Brook said a few words, "Lastly, Baldwin said: 'By the way the claim that Mr. Bannon used the n-word, I've never heard of this, so there's that'. "
The left is overplaying its hand. This embarrassing display was uncalled for. This just shows you the leftist mindset. This blogger can go on CNN and chastise a Trump supporter simply because he's black and doesn't go along with the status quo. This is the only part of the exchange that offended me. The rest of the interview was pure hilarity.
A minor critique: The fact that we can't debate without certain words being off limits further shows how PC we've become as a nation. The host was free to be offended and the gentlemen that said these comments was free to say them. Like he said, he was merely reciting a direct quote from Bannon himself. Whether this quote is true or not is anyone's guess. I haven't heard these accusations before, and I'm not a fan of Bannon, but I follow him closely. These words shouldn't bring us to tears, though.
I can honestly understand becoming uncomfortable with certain words, but tears shouldn't enter the picture. This is supposed to be a seasoned reporter. If you were wondering, CNN is reporting the commentator immediately apologized. The segments already gone viral. Let me be the first to say this man shouldn't lose his job even though he made a very funny and stupid mistake.
