The Vice President Mike Pence walked out of the 49ers Colts game after some of the 49ers players took a knee during the national anthem. After leaving the game the VP took to Twitter to explain why he left.

The mainstream media and the liberal sports press immediately went into a tizzy over the matter framing it as if the Vice President was the one mocking the anthem, or that it was political stunt, or some even framed it as a sign of 'systemic oppression.'

The media is forced to spin this display by the VP because of how wildly unpopular the national anthem protest has been. The NFL's favorability has dropped 30% due to these protest and viewership is down as well.

It is likely that President Trump sent VP Pence to the game with express orders to walk out if they took a knee knowing they would. At the end of the day just like the NFL players exercised their right to free speech by kneeling the Vice President exercised his by walking out. This proves once again that free speech is a two way street.
